Our story
Touching Floors began with one conviction: a rug should do more than complete a room. It should give it character. Designed in Belgium and hand-knotted in Nepal and Pakistan, each piece brings together natural materials, inherited knowledge and an instinct for colour. We work slowly, because the best things are not rushed. Yarns are spun by hand, shades are considered carefully and every knot is tied by someone who knows the craft intimately. The result is never anonymous and never repeatable. It carries the small variations of its making, traces of human hands, time and place, and settles into a home with a presence all its own.
Alto Basso collection
Raised wool catches the light, lower surfaces hold a little shadow. Alto Basso brings depth and softness to the floor, with a pattern you can feel.
Khyber collection
Rocky slopes, deep valleys and shifting light shape Khyber. Weathered patterns and grounded colours give these hand-knotted rugs an easy, lived-in feel.
