Barjasta collection

Barjasta is defined by the contrast within its surface. Areas of dense, raised wool are set against flatter sections, creating an expressive composition that can be both seen and felt. Light settles differently across each level, revealing new details and giving the rug a changing presence throughout the day.

Every rug is hand-knotted from 100% New Zealand wool on a vertical loom using the Turkish knot. The relief is carefully built into the design, requiring close attention wherever shapes meet and the pile changes height. This meticulous process gives the collection its distinctive tactile quality while preserving the natural softness of the wool.

From a distance, the design appears clear and composed. Viewed more closely, individual fibres, subtle contours and small pockets of shadow reveal the workmanship behind it. Barjasta introduces texture and character without overwhelming its surroundings, creating a grounded and inviting foundation for an interior.
