Rami collection

Made in Nepal

Rami takes its colour from the fibres themselves. Wool, nettle, cactus and hemp are left undyed, keeping the subtle differences that give natural materials their depth. Across the collection, those shades come together in surfaces that feel calm without ever becoming flat. A fine line, a change in texture or a scattering of speckles gives the eye somewhere to pause. These are rugs that sit easily alongside wood, stone and linen, bringing their own quiet character to the materials around them.

The five designs each find a different rhythm. Baia recalls the drawing of a sheltered bay, with fine nettle yarns and a structure reminiscent of knitting. Bordo is more rhythmic, its finely knotted herringbone pattern suggesting stripes softened by morning mist. Bigio brings wool and nettle together in delicate lines, while Scialle lets the natural shades of nettle come forward. Modesto takes a freer approach, with imperfect lines and speckles giving the surface a gentle movement. What connects them is a simplicity that leaves the material room to speak.
